Not up for a
full week of day camp? Are you seeking travel and adventure? Gather your friends
and experience a different kind of fun in 2008.
Each day is a totally different trek!
Choose all the events, or just 1 or 2 or 3, or any combination.
Earn, or not, requirements toward several IPs and one when complete all
treks. Bring a friend and show her how much fun Girl Scouts can be.
These
treks are designed for girls aged 11-17 (or entering 6th gd). There
is no AIT program, but one Aide spot for girl going into grade
12 is available with this camp. Girls wanting to be Teen Aides and AITs should register
with Winona 1 during the summer camp week.
[Picture-raft trip June 20]
Fees include:
bus transportation
(except trek 5) from central
points in the area (depends on registration), vendor fees,
supplies, snacks
or meals depending on program, patch, and one IP
if earned and attend all treks.
If
minimum limit is not met, event will be cancelled, as no money to pay
vendor fees. Register early so we can make
vendor reservations and assure the trip. Camp fees should be paid at time of registration or
request financial assistance.
Wanted:
Lead Counselors and First Aiders for all events
(ages 18+).
Do you work
weekdays with CWS Fridays? If so, you're in luck. Some treks
are planned for CWS days so you won't even have to take leave or get
up early the next day and go to work because it's Saturday.
Reduced fees for adults are available for some treks. We wanted to
keep girl costs to a minimum so everyone will pay for vendor and
other miscellaneous fees. Check fee chart link at left
for adult prices. Contact camp directors for more info.
Training is available free. Financial assistance
is available for both girls and
adults.
